Paladin People: Jared Conn
Paladin’s Jared-of-all-trades is well-versed to help stores
Jared Conn is a true Bend, Oregon native whose journey mirrors the growth and spirit of Paladin Data Corporation. Since joining the team in 2019, Jared has become a cornerstone of Paladin’s mission to empower independent retailers.
Jared began his Paladin career in Squad 2, tackling software challenges for Paladin clients. By 2022, he transitioned to Squad 1, where he dove into hardware integration, mastering nearly every device the company offers.
“That’s where I’ve spent most of my time,” Jared shares. “I’ve learned just about every piece of hardware we sell.”
In 2023, Jared shifted gears to Squad 3, focusing on training store staff on Paladin Point of Sale. Then in 2024, he reunited with Traci Castillo — his original Squad 2 lead — in Client Wellness. Now part of Paladin’s Client Experience (CX) team, Jared regularly checks in with stores to ensure they’re thriving.
“Our goal is to reach out to every customer once every three months,” Jared explains. “If they’re facing challenges, we work together to create a plan and solve them.”
Jared’s adaptability and deep product knowledge also make him a go-to for special data projects and CX team support. When it comes to Paladin Point of Sale, Jared’s expertise runs deep.
“Jared is an invaluable asset to Paladin,” says Chief Experience Officer Charles Owen, Jared’s supervisor. “He consistently demonstrates exceptional communication skills, both within the organization and in his interactions with our customers. Jared approaches new responsibilities and special projects with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, never hesitating to step up when needed.
“Although he is a key member of the Wellness team, Jared has also been supporting the Data team, further expanding his knowledge, experience, and versatility. His adaptability and dedication make him a standout contributor, and we are fortunate to have him on our team.”
A graduate of Mountain View High School, Jared built a strong foundation in customer service at Bend Memorial Clinic (now Summit Medical Group) and G5, where he helped develop and maintain real estate websites.
Outside of work, Jared embraces the Bend lifestyle — hiking, exploring lakes and rivers, and playing disc golf. And, like many in Paladin Support, he also loves his video games.
“I love Paladin. I love the people I work with — that’s incredibly important to me,” he says. “I truly feel like I’ve made an impact here. It’s a place where I belong, and where my efforts help drive the company’s success.”
