Paladin People – Joe Walker
Joe Thrives on Challenges
Joe Walker is someone who truly enjoys tackling challenges. That makes him adept at solving problems and driving projects and product development forward. He brings this skill to his role as Paladin’s new program manager.
Originally from Harrison, Idaho, Joe and his wife, Jessica, are both Army veterans. Joe spent six years on a 15 Whiskey (15W) deployment, working with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). His technical expertise and his experience as a Geek Squad manager at Best Buy, led him to Paladin Data Corporation.
He started as a TSR in 2021, and his exceptional performance earned him company recognition in September 2022. Joe was promoted to Squad 1 lead in January 2023. Nine months later, he became the Squad 2 lead.
New role, new home
His expertise with Paladin and leadership paved the way to his current position as program manager which means a move from the company’s Bend, Oregon location to its Chandler, Arizona office.
Joe now oversees cross-functional software initiatives that enable the Paladin engineering and product teams to build and deliver high-quality solutions. His extensive knowledge of Paladin also earned him a role as one of the software testers for PaladinShop™, the company’s new digital store. His job is to rigorously test the software to identify and fix flaws before it is launched.
“When I started, I was told to be gentle with it, but they still wanted me to try and break it,” Joe says.
This experience earned him the role as Paladin’s new program manager.
“Joe is always willing to go the extra mile, take initiative, support teammates, and consistently deliver high-quality work. His positive attitude and commitment to growth make him an invaluable part of the Paladin family,” says Tyler Klein, Paladin’s Operations Director.
Joe’s expertise also earned him a spot on the team that travels to dealer markets and trade shows to demonstrate Paladin products.
“I’m very thankful for all the opportunities Paladin has given me, and I look forward to contributing more to the organization,” Joe says.
