Paladin People – Sam Fitzpatrick
Sam and His Team Set Stores Up for Success
Sam Fitzpatrick is a natural problem solver, a skill he honed through his love for Minecraft, an educational video game that fosters creativity, self-direction, collaboration, and problem-solving. This mindset has made him an invaluable asset to Paladin’s Project Management team.
“I love helping stores set up their systems to achieve their goals. My aim is to provide solutions to their challenges and optimize their systems,” Sam explains. “I dive deep into their issues and train them to use these tools more effectively. Their appreciation makes it all worthwhile.”
As a Project Management Lead, Sam directs a team of account specialists that ensure stores transitioning to Paladin Point of Sale experience a seamless process. His team gathers essential information, crafts detailed implementation plans, and brings those plans to life for each store.
Serving as the conduit between stores and Paladin, Sam’s team possesses in-depth knowledge of Paladin Point of Sale, the optimal hardware for various applications, and the most suitable Paladin Managed Services for each store’s needs. Beyond helping stores go live, they manage dual electronic data interchange (EDI) implementations, ownership changes, brand conversions, disaster recovery, and multi-store server upgrades.
Sam’s journey at Paladin mirrors that of many technical support staff, starting with tackling hardware and software challenges, progressing to a focus on EDI issues, and eventually becoming a project management lead.
His technical and client service expertise was further developed through IT support roles in his father’s construction business and a local tech call center in Bend, Oregon. Originally from California’s Central Coast, Sam moved to Bend nearly a decade ago and has thrived ever since
“Sam is an extremely competent and responsible person. He’s a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to working with him for years to come,” says Operations Director Tyler Klein.
