NHPA Recognizes Young Retailers of 2020
The North American Hardware and Paint Association honored its 2022 Young Retailers of the Year in the July issue of Hardware Retailing and among the eight is Jade Haynie, general manager of Northwest Hardware. The company operates five stores throughout Montana and has been a Paladin client since 2015.
Haynie, who started with the company helping unload trucks, oversees the operation from the Billings store. The company is owned by TJ Comstock who was one of the NHPA Young Retailers of the Year in 2010 and later served as chairman of the board for the NHPA.
“I never thought I was going to be in this industry, and so just doing hands-on training and learning and being a part of a group like NHPA’s Retail Management Certification Program has definitely rubbed off on me. Especially if they’re new like me and never had any retail experience, period, join different organizations like RMCP,” Jade told Hardware Retailing. Read more
Happy Anniversary, Ace on the Lake!
The Hardware Connection reports that Ace on the Lake is celebrating 35 years in business. Owner Justin Johnson and his crew serves the community of Bemidji, Minnesota, a lovely small town on Lake Bemidji – the northernmost lake that feeds the Mississippi River.
Ace on the Lake has been a member of the Paladin family since 2017.
