Simplified Admin Access, SOH Feature for Do it Best

Simplifying Admin Access
We’ve simplified the process of granting administrative access to employees by eliminating passwords.
When it is installed, the latest Paladin update grants admin access through a new Access Level checkbox on the Employees tab in Paladin Configuration. All employee accounts that previously had admin access will automatically have this checkbox marked. Once they are logged into Paladin POS, they will no longer have to enter a password to access a store’s protected features.
This update is available to all stores that do not use TranSentry credit card processing. We hope this change will simplify any access challenges your stores might be experiencing.
Checking Stock on Hand for Do it Best
This new feature gives our friends at Do it Best nearly real-time access to the stock on hand at their designated Retail Service Centers directly through their point of sale terminals. It’s similar to features already in place in Paladin for our Ace and True Value stores.
When the feature is available in your store, the first time you use the Recall PO feature to open a purchase order, a message will tell you that the feature is available. Click Enable in the message window and the feature will be ready to use immediately.
Afterward, Paladin checks for RSC stock on hand changes approximately every hour. This ensures data is close to real-time. However, it may take a few days for all items to show non-zero stock on hand (SOH) values because an item’s RSC SOH must change to be recorded the first time.
