What’s New in Paladin
Paladin continues to roll out updates that make everyday store operations easier, more efficient, more accurate, and more flexible. Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
Paladin continues to deliver enhancements designed to help retailers work smarter, serve customers faster, and improve operational efficiency. Here’s a look at the latest updates across PaladinPOS™ and PaladinGo™.
PaladinPOS
FastQuery
Paladin has partnered with FastQuery, an AI-powered copilot that integrates with Paladin. Through PaladinGo, FastQuery gives store employees instant access to inventory data, product information, availability, and item locations, helping staff answer customer questions quickly and confidently.
Whether you’re onboarding a new hire or supporting a seasoned employee, FastQuery puts your store’s knowledge base at their fingertips.
Key Benefits
- Deliver faster customer service with instant access to product details and inventory information.
- Help new employees perform like experienced team members from day one.
- Improve productivity and streamline daily store operations with AI-driven assistance.
To use FastQuery, stores must first complete the FastQuery onboarding process through the FastQuery AI platform.
Rounding Cash Transactions to the Nearest Nickel
As pennies become less common in circulation, PaladinPOS now offers enhanced options for rounding cash transactions to the nearest nickel.
When enabled, Paladin automatically applies a coupon adjustment to cash invoices, ensuring final totals round to the nearest five-cent increment while maintaining accurate sales tax calculations. This eliminates the need for penny change and simplifies cash handling at the register. Stores can now choose whether rounding adjustments are applied as a round-up or round-down option based on their business preferences.
Stores can track the impact of rounding by viewing the revenue block of the Comparative Revenue report and reviewing the revenue type “Pennies.”
Do it Best Improved Online Sales Tax Reporting
We’ve updated the Comparative Revenue Report to provide clearer reporting for Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store (BOPIS) orders placed through the Do it Best e-commerce integration.
Previously, sales tax associated with these orders was categorized as Other Tax, which could create the impression that the tax was collected by the store.
With this update, those amounts are now reported as External Tax, more accurately reflecting the transaction process. Taxes on these online orders are collected by the Do it Best e-commerce platform rather than through PaladinPOS.
This enhancement affects reporting only and does not change how online taxes are calculated or processed.
PaladinGo™
Checkout Module Now Supports Worldpay triPOS
PaladinGo continues to expand mobile checkout capabilities with support for Worldpay triPOS payment processing.
Available on both Android and iOS devices, PaladinGo empowers retailers to complete sales and returns anywhere an internet connection is available. Its intuitive interface makes it easy for staff to learn and use, helping stores serve customers wherever they are.
Payment Processing Options
- Cash payments
- Credit card payments
- BlockChyp processing with the Equinox Luxe 6200M
- Worldpay triPOS processing with the Link/2500 LE
With the addition of triPOS support, retailers have greater flexibility in choosing payment technologies that align with their business needs.
These latest enhancements are designed to help retailers improve customer service, simplify operations, and take advantage of new technologies that make selling easier than ever.
