Sawgrass Hardware highlighted in HW Retailing
Sawgrass Hardware, which joined the Paladin family in August 2023, was featured in the August 2024 edition of Hardware Retailing. Erika Brown’s Woodbine, Georgia, store was highlighted for its use of Orgill’s sign program.
“Coupling the marketing starter kit with the signage program continues the common theme, so when customers come in, they walk into a bright, clean and well-stocked hardware store that is all about Sawgrass Hardware. We also all appreciated how easy the signage installation was,” Erica told Hardware Retailing.

Paladin Participates in the Independent Home Improvement Conference
Paladin participated in the Independent Home Improvement Conference held in Marco Island, Florida, from August 27-29. Representing Paladin were Senior Integration Specialist Chris Kelly, his wife Alley, and Business Development Associate Paul Butcher. This event brought together hundreds of independent hardware retailers, service providers, and industry vendors for three days of education and networking.
This conference combined the National Hardware and Paint Association’s tech conference, which Paladin attended last year in Dallas, with The Hardware Conference, an annual event sponsored by The Hardware Connection. Keynote speakers addressed topics such as leadership changes, growth strategies, customer service, employee retention, and more. The event also honored industry award winners, including NHPA’s Young Retailers of the Year and Beacon Awards recipients.
Paladin clients also played a role in the breakout sessions.
- Ned Green, owner of Weiders Paint and Hardware and chairman of the NHPA board, delivered a talk on customer loyalty titled “From Repeat Buyers to Raving Fans: Mastering Customer Loyalty.”
- Brian Young, former manager of Young’s General Store & Ace Hardware and founder of Laoch Consulting, presented “Navigating Cash Flow: The Roadmap to Retail Prosperity.”
- Nathan Looman, president of Watcher Total Protection, shared his insights in “How to Deter Thieves and Protect Your Store.” Paladin has been integrated with Watcher for many years.
