John and Cris Henkle

John and Cris Henkle’s Ace Hardware stores in Webb City and Joplin, Missouri are staples of those two communities. They are quick to support community efforts and respond during disasters.

In an Ace Heartware story, the Henkles said their volunteer efforts are a way to repay the kindness and support shown them by their employees and communities when they experienced their own family emergency.

John and Cris have been advocates of Paladin since 2009. We thank them for their partnership, appreciate their support, and thank Ace Hardware for recognizing their efforts.

Two Paladin Stores Honored as Stihl All-Stars

Meads Hardware and Schwering’s Hardware were recently featured in HBS Dealer as 2022 Stihl All-Stars. Meads Hardware has been with Paladin since 2013 and Schwering’s Hardware is brand new to Paladin.

Described by many customers as being “old school retail Las Vegas,” Meads is an iconic hardware store offering hardware, plumbing, tools, grills, garden supplies, and, of course, Stihl power equipment. It’s also known for its NU-2-U appliances – “slightly used, but in very good condition” – which makes furnishing a home or apartment in the Las Vegas Valley more affordable.

Linda Dwinell’s store in North Las Vegas embraces the classic cool of old Las Vegas when the nearby Fremont Street hotels and casinos were the heart of gaming and entertainment in town.

Schwering’s is another old-time hardware store. H.C. Schwering opened the Palmyra, New Jersey store as a general goods store in 1922 and on Sept. 25 celebrated its 100-year anniversary. Palmyra is located on the Delaware River just across from Kensington and Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

To this day, the Schwering’s store remains a family-owned business in its original location – although expanded. Kyle and Steve Schwering are fourth generation owners.
