P<\/span>rotect your store from e-commerce fraud, cybercrime<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

When stores were forced to close because of\u00a0pandemic\u00a0restrictions, it\u00a0forced merchants of all sizes\u00a0into e-commerce\u00a0offerings\u00a0just\u00a0to keep their businesses alive.\u00a0Even though many flourished thanks to programs like buy online, pick up in-store\u00a0(BOPIS) and the increasing availability of home delivery,\u00a0their vulnerability to e-commerce fraud increased just as quickly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A report from Sift shows the\u00a0value of an\u00a0average fraudulent order jumped 69% to\u00a0$2,049\u00a0in 2020.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The card companies also offer online toolkits to merchants that help them fight\u00a0cyberfraud.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For example,\u00a0Visa introduced its kit in 2015 to help merchants transition to\u00a0more secure\u00a0EMV chip-enabled credit cards. In 2020,\u00a0the company\u00a0included information for merchants on card-absent transactions, policies and requirements for digital wallets, and more.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
