People who previously shopped\u00a0<\/span>in their favorite local markets,\u00a0<\/span>now re<\/span>gularly\u00a0<\/span>buy<\/span>\u00a0groceries\u00a0<\/span>without ever setting foot in a store<\/span>. They\u00a0<\/span>can\u00a0<\/span>virtually\u00a0<\/span>try<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>out<\/span>\u00a0everything from flooring to footwear<\/span>\u00a0on their laptops<\/span>, and\u00a0<\/span>purchase furniture and\u00a0<\/span>redecorate their homes<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>using\u00a0<\/span>their smartphones.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>That means\u00a0<\/span>customer outreach for\u00a0<\/span>stores\u00a0<\/span>must\u00a0<\/span>change, too.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

America\u2019s shift to the suburbs and more rural towns\u00a0<\/span>has\u00a0<\/span>also affected small businesses.\u00a0<\/span>Zoom towns<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u2013 rural\u00a0<\/span>cities<\/span>\u00a0infused with residents by the\u00a0<\/span>pandemic-fueled\u00a0<\/span>work-at-home trend \u2013\u00a0<\/span>brought new people to small towns and businesses.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless of the\u00a0<\/span>circumstances<\/span>, shoppers change<\/span>d<\/span>\u00a0their habits\u00a0<\/span>or locations\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>that\u00a0<\/span>often\u00a0<\/span>includes<\/span>\u00a0trying new stores<\/span>\u00a0or new<\/span>\u00a0brands<\/span>. This means that stores\u00a0<\/span>must\u00a0<\/span>try new\u00a0<\/span>ways\u00a0<\/span>to reach out to\u00a0<\/span>longtime<\/span>\u00a0customers and\u00a0<\/span>newcomers<\/span>\u00a0alike<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
